I have been working as a Speech & Language Therapist since 2014, supporting children with a wide range of communication and developmental needs. Over the years, my clinical experience has shaped a strong focus on early intervention, alongside experience with children with neurological, genetic, and developmental conditions.

My clinical and academic experience has shaped the way I look at communication, not as one isolated skill, but as something connected to a child's development, relationships, and everyday life.

Continuing to Learn

Continued professional development is an important part of my work. I have pursued specialized training in Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions (NDBIs) and parent-mediated interventions, including approaches that support the development of social communication and interaction skills and approaches that help parents understand and respond to challenging behavior. I have also pursued specialized training in autism assessment, including the ADOS-2.

I am currently undertaking advanced training in behavior analysis as part of my professional development toward becoming an International Behavior Analyst (IBA). This ongoing training broadens my understanding of learning, motivation, communication, and behavior.

My behavior-analytic work is undertaken under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), as appropriate to the work and the child's needs.

Clinical & Academic Experience

Alongside my clinical work, I am an academic coordinator and instructor at the Higher Institute of Speech and Language Therapy at Saint Joseph University of Beirut. I have been teaching and supervising students since 2018 and have served as academic coordinator since 2021.

My teaching and supervision include language and communication disorders, communication profiles associated with neurological and developmental conditions, and clinical decision-making. This academic role keeps me closely connected to current knowledge while bringing together the clinical and academic perspectives that shape my work.

At the heart of my work is the belief that every child has their own strengths, ways of learning, and ways of connecting with others. I also believe that parents are an important part of the process. They know their child best, and supporting communication means creating strategies that can become part of the child's real everyday life, within the relationships and routines that matter most.
